Results: Pass, 55% - 45%

Sound Transit is asking voters to approve a measure that will build upon the existing mass transit system of light rail, commuter rail, and bus services.  The measure is referred to as Sound Transit 3 and is a mix of sales taxes (half-cent increase), property taxes0.25-mill increase), and motor vehicle excise taxes (0.8 percent increase) collected for 15 years. The Sound Transit board is expected to release a draft of the proposed ballot language in March.
