Election 2006 News Update
Preliminary November 7, 2006 Results
Voters in 13 states considered 32 transit-related ballot measures
on November 7th. Preliminary results (as of 5:35pm est Wednesday
November 8th) indicate that approximately 70% of the measures passed
(32 were considered, 30 were decided as of press time. Of those
30, 21 were approved, nine were defeated and two measures are still
outstanding). Approximately $40 billion in investment was approved
by voters. Overall this year, almost 70% of measures have been approved.
