Regional Materials and Information

More Coming Soon!

In keeping with the Center's mission of helping local groups respond to critics of public transportation, CFTE and others have prepared materials that are specific to local metropolitan areas. These materials have been prepared for communities where critics, like Wendell Cox, are scheduled to speak and are designed to be distributed to audiences of these critics, including the media, policymakers, and concerned citizens.

If you know of a critic of public transportation that is scheduled to speak in your community, please let the Center know, and we'll be more than happy to help prepare a similar package.

Look at what has been prepared for these communities:

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI
On August 10, 2004, Federal Reserve Bank Economists Garrett and Castelazo wrote and presented a report criticizing the cost effectiveness of light rail. While CFTE was not directly involved with the response, several others stepped up to the plate to defend the economic merits of light rail transit.

ATLANTA, GEORGIA
Public transportation critic, Wendell Cox, spoke on behalf of Georgians for Better Transportation on January 27, 2004.

CINCINNATI, OHIO
Wendell Cox and others spoke at a regional version of the "Preserving the American Dream of Mobility and Homeownership" conference, November 17, 2003. These materials were distributed to multiple media outlets beforehand.
