Responding to Critics Toolkit:
Contact Info for
Major U.S. Newspapers

Effective transit advocates understand the power of the written word, especially when those words are read by thousands of newspaper readers. Writing a letter to the editor, an “in my opinion” piece or sending a press release can help get your pro-transit message out to the public. The information on this page gives you a sense of what newspapers are looking for and how they want your letter/op-ed/press release delivered to them.

CFTE updates this information periodically, but because newspaper policies, email addresses and editors change frequently. It’s always a good idea to call the newspaper for further information and verification.
